These landing craft could carry up to 30 tonnes of cargo and were used for landing the Allied forces in Normandy (D-Day). With a total build of at least 640,000, the Off-Road Vehicle is the vehicle most used in warfare. This robust, light and all-wheel-drive vehicle was used by the Allied forces in all theatres of war. The vehicle was often brought ashore from landing craft to the coastal areas taken by the troops for supply and transport purposes.

It has a range of 30,000 m. The PzH 2000 is driven by a 736 kW MTU 881 Ka-500 Diesel engine and reaches a maximum speed of over 60 km/h.

It was a variation on a production truck, on which the rear axle was replaced by a caterpillar track. From 1943, Daimler-Benz produced a half-track based on the all-wheel drive L4500R with the tracked assembly of the armoured fighting vehicle PzKpfw. II. The vehicle designated L4500R had a load carrying capacity of 4.5 tonnes.

The rear door gives access to up to 6 panzergrenadiere. The internal setup has been reconfigured to improve blast protection. The Marder 1 A5 has been used with success in occasion of international conflicts such as KFOR (Kosovo) and ISAF (Afghanistan).

A FLW 200 Weapons Platform, fitted with either a 12.7mm machine gun or a 40mm grenade launcher as well as a multiple launch unit - serve as defensive armorment. Delivery of 272 BOXER's to the the Bundeswehr German Armed Forces) began in September 2009. The Netherlands Armed Forces will also receive the BOXER from 2011 onwards. It replaces, depending on the model - the "Fuchs" and the "M113" Armoured Transport Vehicles.

The lightly armoured tracked vehicle provides its crew with protection against Hand Fire Weapons and is Air Transportable. It carries a 7.62mm MG3 Machine Gun for self protection. The "AFF's" 3D Radarl can also be rotated - can locate targets at a range of up to 20 km (12.5 miles) and an altitude of 5000 m (16400 ft). It transmits the target details via Data-Link to the "Ocelot" weapons launcher which can launch up to four guided missiles immediately.

The V-12 Maybach petrol engine developing 700 hp gave the 43,000 kg "Panther" a top speed of 55 km/h. It had a crew of 5.

A close-range observation and control system acquires and evaluates all important data. The fully digitized fire control system takes into account all parameters of the stabilised weapon. Since the end of 2010 the pre-production vehicles have been subjected to a severe test programme by the German Army. The first vehicles are scheduled to be delivered to the troops in 2013.
